Over 60 and still alert, she fell in love with these ugly faced unknown monkeys the day she found Bobby, a completely drunk baby baboon left for dead in a thrash bin after soldiers had killed his mother ...
Since that day, the German lady who left home and family at 20 to follow her dreams in Africa, has devoted her life to orphan baboons she takes in. Not only does she feed them (30 baby bottles per day!) and look after them, but she recreates social structures within groups so that they can later be released in private reserves that wish to add this species to their list, for the great enjoyment of the naturalist tourists.
